I'm 17, and I suffer from thinning hair. I straighten it but hardly ever dye it. My hair is thin, but I'm referring to my scalp. I'm very self conscious about it. I went to a professional but there's really nothing they can do about it 😔 it's very depressing so I was wondering if anyone else has this problem & what they do to try to hide it without teasing & ripping out hair.

I have the same problem, I'm 23 and it started when I was about 19. I do have the nioxin it worked awesome for the first year and now I hardly notice a difference, and I most definitely. feel you about it being depressing, maybe you should try Seeing a dr to make sure you don't have any kind of underlying condition that' may be causing it, I've heard a lot of people say eat more iron and protein and that' works for them. In my case I'm pretty sure it's hereditary :( the way I mask mine is I get some blondish highlights throughout my hair it seems to mask them a little bit, good luck and I hope you find something that works for you, it's an everyday struggle that's for sure.

Thanks @heidi & @ashley I went to a dr. And she said mine was also hereditary. I can try treatments but my hair will never be very full. :'( it really is an everyday struggle, thank you for the tips I will try nioxin & see if it works for me. Thank you!!

Have green tea. Lots of it. My best friend too had this problem and she started having green tea. Also use castor oil only on the centre of your head and then massage. But remember not to use it through out as its not easy to wash off.

Well once you fix your hair with the product everyone is saying, try using Onion Shampoo to make it thicker or fuller.

I recommend products like Nioxin and Reloxe for healthy hair growth. There are others, these contain natural ingredients which is always a good way to go.
Amazon is a good place to buy hair products. One could get customer reviews and ratings before making a choice. One product me and my friends tried was Reloxe. We had heard about it's ability to naturally grow back hair and it worked within only a few months! Try it and see, you too will be a believer. I think the website is Reloxe.com
There are all sorts of products on the market today that can aid in hair growth.
