YESSS! I bleached my sisters hair once every two weeks trying to lighten it, I deep conditioned it every night, and her hair turned into gum... like it felt like gum and would literally stretch and break off... it was horrible!

Yes. I have been.bleaching my hair for radical colors for 3 years now. If you only.bleach it once, it shouldn't break or fall out. Especially on virgin hair. Don't do what I do. I just like getting my process out of the way fast. I use Quick Blue and 50 vol. Its stupid really cause my hair is so damn dry now. I messed up big time so if your going to go crazy, don't use my method. Also too, when you bleach your hair it must not be washed at all. You need your natural oils to come out and brush them down in order to coat the areas your bleaching. After that, once bleached condition your hair to prevent it from getting dryer. And whatever you do, don't add permanent hair dye into the bleached hair, use semi permenant for it. Punky Colour and Special Effects have great reds. Manic Panic nevers lasts nor does Color Jamz. I've used many reds when I was 19. :) I hope this helps.

YES! I bleached a couple parts of my hair to put so highlights I couldn't even let it set through completely that's how fast the bleach was breaking my hair!

You have to do the bleaching in sessions if you don't want to ruin your hair. Because I have to do the sessions so I can color my hair red again.

On dark hair it a processes your not bleach blonde right away at a hair salon they would prob do a double process.with that being said when you re bleach your roots you dont bleach your whole head everytime you will totally break your hair... I would go to a salon you dont know if you'll need a toner at the end or sit under a dryer to speed up the process its important to not leave the bleach on too long the dryers at salons help with that some hair doesnt lift color as easy.
