I have in the past and hated it!! The distraction from friends family members stopping by made 2 hour process into an all day affair. I can't even list any pros because the cons just knocked them out the water.

I have but the stylist had a room they purposefully set aside just for her work, and I only went after I had already used the stylist several times at a salon.

Thanks for your input it's just I'm starting my business through my home but I have made a special room in a relaxing atmosphere , I plan to not get distracted when I'm with clients by answering phone calls

YES! I have before, I had a really good experience, it was her basement was completely remade into a salon just with two chairs, and it was gorgeous! It's such a personal experience that I loved having that time to really connect and get away. She had a seperate enterance buildt in though so you didn't ever have to walk thru her house, which made it a lot more professional, in my opinion. All in all, if the talent is there, customers will follow- no matter where you go. That's how I see it!

I only would if the person was a close friend and I knew them really well. I usually feel uncomfortable or get anxiety about spending that much time and doing something so personal in someone else's house if I don't feel as close to them as family. Plus, like Shelley said, I wouldn't be able to deal with the distractions.
