Yes nail buffers are a good tool, just don't go crazy and over buff them...it will make your nails flimsy and prone to breakage.

I agree with Mia. But make sure to buff around cuticles mainly, unless you have thick nails, because the tips can become very thin. I buff my nails everytime I do a manicure(:
