Should I get a hair perm? or how to make hair voluminous and non frizz?

So my hair is really long, flat and messy. I want to go the a nearby salon to make it look better. But I don't know what kind of treatment I should get. I want to get a perm to make it straight with volume. I am just wondering is it going to damage my hair as much? Or is there any kind of other treatment that I can do at the salon?

I see you are Asian and maybe look into a digital perm.. I hear its not as damaging and works better for Asian hair.. You have beautiful hair btw!

Also look into American Wave.. Only select salons do either one but the American wave is also very minimal damage and you can select the wave style you are trying to achieve..
