In my opinion I have horrible teeth and was wondering if anyone knew any good teeth whitening toothpastes which actually work?

My dentist told me that toothpaste doesn't actually stay on your teeth long enough to make a real difference, and I generally trust his opinion when it comes to teeth.
If you want whiter teeth, I second Lola's advice about baking soda and strawberries. I know for sure that baking soda made my teeth whiter... but it tastes awful!

Baking soda! It's slightly salty, so I brush real quick with regular toothpaste to get the fast out haha.

I agree on the baking soda. I have been using it for years and it works wonders. Your teeth feel unbelievably clean and smooth after too!

I have a love/hate relationship with Crest's Glamorous White toothpaste right now. It makes me teeth significantly whiter in a very short amount of time, but it makes my teeth sensitive so I can't use it very often. My teeth tend to be sensitive anyway, however, so it could just be me. To compensate for this, I usually switch back and forth between the Glamorous White and any toothpaste for sensitive teeth and it works pretty well for me.

I used 5 Minute Whitening for a while- it really worked, but it made my teeth super sensitive.

I use toothpaste that already has baking soda in it and that's made a slight difference, I smoke and drink loads of coffee so it hasn't got rid of the little dark spots but it does make them generally whiter =]

PLEASE do not use baking soda! I was using it and I told my dentist and he told me in the long run it only yellows your teeth because of how abrasive it is. He said if I want to keep it to once a month, I also use hydrogen peroxide once a week and it keeps my pearly whites pearly, and white!!
