Getting rid of acne scars before summer :(

Hey everyone, so this summer I'm going on a ton of vacations to beaches, and I'm going to be spending most of the time in the ocean and on the beach. When I lived in Florida I always wore bare minerals, still do, but I just don't like the look of any kind of foundation, concealer when I'm under bright sunlight. The only problem is that I have some acne scars I'm trying to hurry and get rid of before June. Most are pretty light, I'd say they're a dark pink/light purple color. They're my biggest insecurity, and other than that, my skin is pretty clear. I just dread seeing the scars all the time, as much as I'd like to wear no makeup, I feel miserable without it covering my scars. I just want to fade them as much as possible before June arrives. Right now I'm exfoliating with a clairsonic, applying lemon juice every couple nights and I massage mederma into my skin morning and night. I'm not sure what else would help me, although I do have wheat germ oil I use once in awhile. I've heard good things about Bio oil, and also bad, so I'm not taking my chances. But if anyone would recommend anything or if I should just keep going with what I'm doing for it now.

Keep doing what you are doing now. I use Murad lightening serum and it works really well. Keep exfoliating to encourage skin cell turnover. If it doesn't heal by then just use a waterproof, full coverage foundation that will hide them and stay on.

Like Caroline said, do keep exfoliating, but keep at twice a week at the most. Anymore you good do more harm than good. I would pick up a jar of Pansy's Healing Scar Butter. That stuff is amazing! It doesn't say it will help with acne scars, but it helped mine a good bit. I hear Bio-oil works wonders. I would give it a try. Hope that helps!

Continue to wash your fave daily. Be careful when you exfoliate, too much can dry out your skin and be very harmfull for the sensitive layers on your face. I had the same problem and I use a home made remedy that works really well.

get a unripe green papaya. peel and scoop out the seeds, cut into pieces that will be easy to blend and throw it into the blender and gradually add water to make it into a paste. apply this to your face 2-3 times weekely and leave it on 15 mins then wash.

also make a mask out of 2 table spoons of gram flour, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 table spoon of almond oil and gradually add milk to the dry ingredients to make a paste. apply to your face and let it dry for about 20 mins then wash. Do this once a week.

hope that helped. my face cleared up literally a week-2 weeks after applying these remedies. make sure you also have a good face wash to clean your face before applying the spot treatments or mask. I use burst bees soap bark and chamomile creme cleanser :)
