I need to start cleaning my brushes, but I'm broke and can't afford any products. Is it cool if I run them under water orrr?

I first wash them in a bowl with warm water mixed with anti bacterial soap, and than I wash them in a bowl with water and baby soap to make the hairs of the brush soft and to give them a nice smell.

Babysoap and anti bacterial soap aren't that expensive and they last for a very long time!

I just mix about a 7:3 ratio or dish soap and olive oil, wet my brushes dip them in my soap and go to town. I lay them on a dish towel and let them dry overnight. I have the brush conditioner from Bare Minerals, but it doesn't seem to do anything...

Up & up baby shampoo is about $1.47 at target and that's what I use to clean my brushes. never lets me down!

I use baby soap from dollar store or from Walmart when it's on sale. I've been washing my brushes like this for last four years and it's cheap and awesome. I have tried mac brush cleaner too, it was good too but I didn't repurchase it.

I use olive oil and dish soap, then put brush covers (I guess that's what you would call them) on them to keep the hairs straight.

I use baby shampoo. its the two in one soap.. it works really awesome, I put the soap in my hand and swirl the brush in it then rinse and repeat until in rinses out clean. it also makes my brushes soft. I have white bristle brushes and they are still white thats how good it works for me. try it super easy and cheap :))
