I've been thinking about getting an industrial quite some time now, but as it is with everything there's both horror stories and good stories about it, I have super short hair so my hair won't be a problem and get into the piercing, but I'm concerned if it'll swollen up extremely or other complications. I know a prof piercer that I'm going to use, but I wanted to know how is your experiences with your industrials? How long was your healing time?
Thanks in advance =)

Industrial piercings are the worst in terms of pain and heeling. I'm not going to sugar coat anything. I have one and I love it... And would do it all again but you have to really baby that piercing.

Heeling time: 6 months- year. You will probably form keloids when you get it though :/ I stopped getting them when I finally was able to change the jewelry.

Good I don't want any sugarcoat at all =)
Okay cos I heard the healing could be up to 6 months and easily could get really swollen.

Lol I read it like it wasn't the worst about healing, I did expect it to be worst though.

I mean it won't hurt anymore after the piercing is done unless you accidently hit it but it's highly sensitive to getting a keloid.

I had absolutely no issues with it (besides glasses and abnormally small ears to where I had to have a bar specially made). The first month or two it wasn't fun to use the phone or sleep on that ear. healed great, no issues, not once.

Okay, is there anything you did to treat the keloid, or is it just about waiting for it to disappear?

Mine is currently in the healing process, and it's not that bad. you do have to clean it with a saline solution like 3 times a day, which can be annoying, but it's definitely worth it! :) as for pain, I don't think it hurt too badly, but it all depends on youe pain tolerance and if your piercer has a calming voice it doesn't hurt! :) just avoid hitting it with hats, clothing, headphones, etc, and don't sleep on the ear you're getting pierced, otherwise it will swell up a bit. hope that all helped!  :)

Thanks! Definitely helped. When it comes to piercings my pain tolerance is almost on zero where for tattoos I'm fine lol.
But yeah I've decided to wait until I don't need beanies anymore and then of not sleep on it. How long are you in the healing process? =)
It helped, thanks!
