I do set it with powder. I use m.a.c prep and prime translucent powder.

I use BB cream for everyday purposes and it doesn't clog pores or anything because it is so lightweight. Otherwise I use Covergirl clean liquid foundation for the special occasions and set it with a very thin layer of translucent powder.
