I've always had short hair and found ways to work around it, but lately I feel like I can't do much with it. Any ideas on how to give my hair some edge or style without using too much products?

It depends if your hair is relaxed or natural. For relaxed hair, twist outs look nice on any length hair and all you'll need is moisturizer. I'm relaxed and when I cut my hair short a few years back I had the sides and back about half an inch- an inch and the top longer where that's where I played around with different styles
