I would lean to lemon juice. Although the acid from the lemon will dry your air out, it's a much better, natural way to lighten your hair. If you want to dye your ends purple get a product where you can spray it on it whatever. Then you can wash it out. So if you et tired of it, you can just wash it away.

If I was you, I would just get some purple hair chalk :) then you can put the purple in whenever you feel like it. As for the lemon juice I'm not sure it works but. I know John Frieda's go blinder spray does. It may be a bit drying but just make sure to deep condition your hair on the regular! Good luck ;))))

The lemon juice would give you a more summer look. if you want to do the purple you can but it depends what shade of purple you want. Any dark purples are more appropriate for fall and winter seasons, as well as smokey purple. If you use a faded or pastel purple, it would look more appropriate for the spring and and probably the Summer. I dont know it this helps at all but yeah.

I reckon if you sprayed that stuff in your eyes, you'd go blinder.
