You're really going to have to experiment with what works best for you and your skin type. It sounds like you have combination skin, but multiple factors can have an affect on your skin and your acne (weather/seasons, age, diet, heredity, etc.). What most skincare products have in common is differing amounts of salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. There are also a multitude of other "natural" solutions that claim to help with acne (honey, aloe vera, aspirin, green tea, grapefruit etc.) but again, you're still going to have to figure out what works best for you.

Yes you need to try products and read reviews! I personally love neutrogenas cleanser/mask! And then I used a Clinique toner and spot treatment. I also have just started to use boscia's black face mask, which dries on your skin and pulls so much dirt out of your pores, I will say that it made me break out a bit after initial use because it was drawing toxins out but I used it for the second time yesterday- and so far so good :) good luck to you!
