I have long hair and I'm a skater so I wear my hair in a bun all the time. I like sock buns, but my hair always falls out of them. Put your hair up in a ponytail, twist it tightly, wrap it around the base and pin in place. If it won't stay try a little hair spray and use extra bobby pins to pin down the flyaways (:

Make the bun you are already doing but when you twist the elastic don't push all the hair trough it , like you do with aa pony tail.
