I have dark brown hair right now and I have never dyed my hair, but I want to get it dark red. I'm not really sure if it will look good on me. And how badly would the bleach damage my hair? I plan to get it done professional since its my first time. Any help would be great, thanks.

I think it would look very nice on you! But red hair is very high maintenance, it doesn't do much damage if you're getting it professionally done by someone that actually knows what they are doing:)

The color runs fast so you will need to get it dyed a lot, but it all depends on what type of dark red you are going for, ask your hairstylist before you get it done, I had to get mine colored every 2weeks and had to wear hair sunscreen to try to keep the color

...so I went back brown because I just didn't have the money to keep my hair that color, do research before doing anything to your hair, it's beautiful you don't want to damage it

Oh ok thanks! I want it red but not so dramatic so then when it starts to fade my hair would have a red undertone

Everything she says it 100% on point. And red is so easy to do yourself and you don't need to bleach it with the loreal color she uses. If you don't want it as bright don't do it the second time like she did! If you follow all of her instructions it would cost you around 20$ compared to 100+ at a salon. Coloring your hair at home is really simple and since you have virgin hair (never dyed) it will come out super quick & easy. Make sure you use a protein filler on your hair before so the color will be even& you won't have any damage.
