how do I get an ombre look with my dreads. suggestions on how to apply the first and second color please.

You will have to lighten the ends first with lightener (bleach) I suggest wella blondor mix with 20 vol , but do a test strand first on one dread , leave on till you are happy with the color ... If you get it to a Carmel color or a Lil lighter . It will be ready for you to apply color . What color are you looking to do ? I'm a stylist and I've worked with dreads before coloring them and bleaching them .

If its just the roots , I'd go with 4/0 wella it's a very rich dark brown with 10 vol , because your only depositing the color . You will have to untwist your dreads just a Lil so that the color can really get in there . Leave on color for 30 min wash out retwist .
