i use shiseido and bobbi brown in my kit, and i have them in a few different universal shades to mix and match to suit my clients, they both have flawless finishes to them, and shiseido is excellent for even the most sensitive of skins!

I think Revlon makes a universally loved makeup brand. For something more high-end, try Laura Mercier or the Make-Up Forever HD Foundation.
