What's the best foundation?

I've never used foundation before, silly, I know. I want to try it, but I don't want to buy crappy foundation. Any suggestions?

It took me years to find the perfect foundation and I finally found it! I use mac match master foundation, brilliant coverage not too matte not too shiny it's perfect for me, pop into mac and ask them to match your foundation for you so you can try it out :)
