I have never done the back to mac thing.. i have some old lip glosses and such that are not empty, will they still accept it??

Yes. 6 empties. I went to a store and they were only able to give me a lipstick. I believe if you go to a counter at Macy's you have a choice of a lipgloss/eyeshadow/lipstick if I'm not mistaken
