Is it worth it spending a lot of time and products on the lips?

I have seen some tutorials and pictures of amazing lips make up but then i think... it's gonna go away in a sec as soon as you kiss/drink/eat. Am i missing using a primer or something?? i always keep it simple with a lip gloss or some nice lipstick i can carry with me and put it back on any time.

I guess it depends on the person. Sometimes I catch myself thinking that as well but then I think how some color on the lip will enhance my look..
I see what you mean though.

Make sure lips are exfoliated and hydrated, blot excess oils off the lips apply a powder- foundation or translucent etc- that will create a base for the gloss and lipstick to last longer, but if your eating or drinking, try a matte lipstick- apply, blot , reapply and blot again to remove excess oils- you've created your very own lip stain! Make it pop with a gloss and use for touch ups! Good luck :)

Before you apply your lipstick, rub them gently with a damp face cloth. This exfoliates your lips. The line your lips entirely not just the outline filing them in as we'll. apply your lipstick. Gently blot onto a Kleenex and apply ur face powder over it. Then apply another coat of lipstick. Should stay on much longer. Good luck. And to me a nice lip can really pull any makeup look or outfit together even on a lazy day.

Some lipsticks/stains last wonderfully long! I always use a stain under my lip because even if some of your lipstick wears off you'll still have color. I also prefer a clear lip liner, because it has no color to bleed so it stays better. There's nothing wrong with a simple gloss of stick though!
