whats BB cream?

okay so i know this sounds totaly stupid but i have no clue what BB cream is.. what exactly is it?

I love BB cream :) foundation is way to heavy for my skin so i use bb cream . Its basically a tinted mosturizer! It covers some imperfections while hydrating skin and they have an spf in them. I use garniers bb cream. Its really good :)
