I personally use baby wipes with 99% alcohol between more deep cleans. This gets the product off of the brush and sanitizes it. Sometimes I use the brush cleaner spray from Beauty So Cleanser instead of alcohol. As for the MAC brush cleaner, I have only used it a few times, but from my experience and information told to me by a friend who worked there- this is not a cleaner that you just simply put on and wipe away. It is one that needs to be rinsed very thoroughly. If not, it can leave your brushes feeling sticky or whatever, and won't allow you to get clean application of product. I have never used the Bobbi Brown cleaners, so I can't comment on those. With brush cleaners, it's a good habit to learn the ingredients because there are a lot of nasty chemicals in them. As for other brush cleaners, Parian Spirit has a nice brush cleaner that doesn't have harsh chemicals, and a citrus scent. But really, between shampooing, as long as you're sanitizing and getting the product out of them, you should be fine. Depending on how often you use your brushes, maybe a gentle shampoo every week or two would be good.
Sorry for the long answer. Hope it was somewhat helpful though. =)

I use Parian Spirit for my daily spot cleaning, it does a fantastic job of getting my brushes clean without the hassle of doing a deep cleansing. I haven't used the MAC or BB cleansers, so I can't speak to how well they work, but I think that Parian Spirit would be just what you're looking for.

Katerina, you can actually buy it from the Beautylish shop! I got mine at Ulta (sold as Japonesque) if you don't want to wait for it to ship but honesty the BL shop is the fastest and best shipping I've ever had. I use it on all of my brushes, both natural and synthetic, and it works on them all. It does dry quickly as well. It takes about 20 seconds before my brush is dry and I can either use it again if I want to, or just put that brush away. It's great stuff!

I wash mine in a mixture of dawn and virgin olive oil. The dawn cleans and disinfects while the oil keep them condition. Its a good and cheap way to clean them.

I know Sephora has a daily antibacterial brush cleaner spray! Try looking into that (:
