I wouldn't recommend that you do ombre hair at home as it involves bleach and it's one of the strongest chemicals that you can put on your hair..go to to a professional, it won't be too expensive and you'll get guaranteed results :)

For best results I would go to a salon - if you have dark hair levels 1-6 then they would rent to use bleach and because it goes through the stages. Through black brown red orange it may need a toner if you have lighter hair they could use a hi - lift instead of bleach but may not need a toner and it won't go through that red stage but would reccomment a salon as with placement and teasing helps the balayage

Go to a salon. At home kits work well for some but can turn into a hot mess for somebody else. At salons it is pretty inexpensive and guarenteed to look good.
