You'll just have to make sure to use shampoo for color treated hair so the color doesn't get stripped out. You could also add some of the dye to your conditioner. This will deposit a little bit of color each time you wash to keep it fresh. Check out la riche dyes!

Just so you know cotton candy pink has to be put onto almost white blonde hair, and it's more of an orangy-pastel pink. It fades VERY quickly. Youll have to touch it up every week or so. & try not to wash your hair as often as you do now. Dry shampoo will be your best friend, lol! Also, wash your hair in the lowest temperature you can handle. If youre doing the whole head try putting some of your dye into your conditioner and when you use it let it sit for 5 minutes.(:

It will have to be almost white first. And should only wash it once or twice a week if you can help it. Wash in cold water and rinse with white vinegar.

Pravana makes a wonderful cotton candy pink, it's a direct pigment, not mixed with any peroxide and super conditioning. Manic panic has metallic color in it, very bad for your hair.

Keep in mind that unless you are already blonde you'll probably have to bleach your hair first in order for the cotton candy pink to show up well, so not only would you have to deal with maintaining the vibrancy of the pink, but any outgrowth from the bleaching as well.

If there's orange it's too dark. It needs to be almost white. I wouldn't do it yourself, I'd go to a salon. Box bleach Is awful stuff.

It will probably need to be bleached 3 or 4 times if going from dark to light. Maybe more. And you should wait at the very very least a week in between.

Yes it is extremely hard! It washes out semi quickly and later on you'll get roots showing through

Although the color fades quick, I noticed that some pigment clung to my hair. It was orange until I dyed over it. Pink/Red colors are hard to get out entirely if you don't like them.

Try bleaching your hair again so it gets lighter then try it out. I usually leave bright colors on for about 3 hours instead of what the bottle says.

I have my whole head cotton candy pink. The easiest way to dye it like this is take any normal pink/fushia dye (I use n rage bubblegum pink) and put conditioner in it. This way, you can choose the exact shade of pink you want. Put a plastic bag or shower cap over your hair so it doesn't dry out while you dye it. The conditioner also makes you hair really soft :) I usually leave the dye in 1-2 hours :3 It's not that hard to maintain either, just repeat the process whenever you feel that the pink has faded too much :p
Good luck!! :3
