Hi everyone, can anybody recommend good but affordable make up brushes please? Thanks! I am in the UK also.

mac is what i use and they are the best. they may be pricier than others but they LAST. i've only had one brush by them that i don't like and that was a blush brush that shedded. other than that i've had them 6 years now with no complaints. i'd rather spend more as an investment that's going to last me a long time over buying subpar quality brushes that need to be replaced every few years.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have looked at MAC brushes and I agree with spending more for quality but I really am a beginner when it comes to brushes, I tend to use my hands but I have read that that isn't such a good thing, so I've decided to give some brushes a go. I don't want to spend a lot of money on brushes that I may not get along with. I'll have a look for the Elf ones also. Could you guys also tell me which kind of brush is best for foundation? Or will a sponge be better? Again... Want to steer away from using my hands! <3
