And does anyone know a good clay mask to buy?

Hi Brittany, I find clay masks effective but make sure you use one suited for your skin type/concerns. After your mask make sure you apply toner and appropriate moisturiser and spf. You can use a face mask on a weekly basis.

If the product makes your face feel like its burning maybe you shouldn't use it. I feel that the clay mask that I use is very effective. It tightens the pores on my face back up & make my skin feel better. Just have to tone & moisturize your face afterwards. I use my mask about every 2 weeks.

I have never had a clay mask burn my face. I think they are wonderful, they clean, soften and tighten your pores. Once a week is all you need.

It def shouldn't "burn". If anything it might have menthol in it and it feels tingly ...but not BURN. it's excellent to use 1-2 timers a week. But be careful bc it will bring your blemishes out that you can't see ...that's the point of it. So make sure not to do it if u have an important event.

yea, if the clay mask is burning you shouldnt use it. there might be something in it that is irritating your skin. I use the ones that are like $1 something at walmart, target, ulta, Walgreen s and cvs. they are little packages of one time use. there different kind for different issues y ou may have. they are great to sit back relax a little with. also I use a mint green clay mask. I dont have acne prone skin or anything. so I use it once in a while when I remember. but its good to pull out everything in your face. right now im trying to talk my bf into doing a treatment on his face. I feel like it would make his face smooth. nd help with parts where he shaves on his face.

Hi Brittany M.! St. Ives makes an amazing clay mask! I have really dry, sensitive skin and it works for me! It's called Mineral Clay Firming Mask and it's minty too! In my experience it always leaves my skin soft and smooth!

Clay masks naturally detoxify the skin by acting like a sponge drawing out any impurities and soaking up any excess sebum. I would just apply throughout the t-zone and spot treat as it can have a drying effect on normal/dry skin parts. my personal favorite is deep cleansing herbal clay masque from AVEDA. it shouldn't burn... maybe feel a but tight as it dries and that's it.
