Making red hair redder?

I have naturally red hair, and I don't plan on dyeing it, but I was wondering if there was a way to bring the red colour out a little more, as it's dulled down a bit lately. I really want a proper ginger shade, think Karen Gillan's red, and right now it's not quite there. Any ideas?

I have never used it before but I have heard good things about Davines - Alchemic Red Shampoo and Conditioner. It is formulated to intensify natural and colored Reds, Auburns and Pinks. I think it is fairly expensive.. But the brand in general is great, so it could at least be something to look into.
