First tattoo - behind the ear!

I am getting my first tattoo (of a heart with the infinity sign in it) behind my ear on Wednesday. I was wondering if anybody could recommend anything to help with pain & if anyone has a tattoo behind their ear and what the pain rating was? Thanks, Beth x
