So I have really pale blonde platinum hair... It still has that annoying yellow hue that will not go away! I use shimmer lights.. Doesn't do much i also have used a toner and the yellow hue doesn't want to go away. Anyone have any advice? Btw I've been blonde for 2 almost 3 years, I go to the hair salon to get it done. I just want snowy white brighter blonde hair!

Manic Panic makes a product called virgin-something-or-other that corrects the yellow tone. Ummmm let me find a link...for a review...

Its for sure hard to find the right toner but if you were in my chair I would tone you with a paul mitchell flash finish (ultra violet probably) and send you home with paul mitchell plantinum shampoo and forever blonde conditioner for home upkeep. Trouble you are having is that the porosity of blonde hair loves to spit out toner faster. good luck hun.

I always wanted to like the manic panic virgin snow toner, but I never achieved any results with it. It literally did nothing to my hair. The only toner I've found available to me at Sally's that I like is Wella's T18 "lightest ash blonde." I also leave my shimmer lights shampoo and conditioner on my head for about 5 minutes each, and I wash with them every time I wash my hair. My hair is more violet than white by doing these things, but it should help you eliminate the yellow tones.

Thanks I can take all the advice I can get! I'm willing to try new products until I can find the right match for me! A girl I know has white hair, she advised me to use wella 050 violet, leave it on for only 5 minutes and then the silver hue will wash out after 5 washes. ( sorry if there's a lot of spelling mistakes, I'm on my iPod)

Ah yes! I recently started using the 050 violet about two months ago.... but I don't use it alone... I mix it in with the T18 and developer. They advise you to mix one capful in, but I usually just dump a bit in there. Good luck =)

Is Wella white lady and lightest ash blonde the same product? I hate the new name if so haha

Yes, it is the same thing! They recently renamed a couple of colors and that happened to be one

Yeah I got 20 developer with it! My order from Sally's is competing in tomorrow lol. I was planning on putting in a tad bit more dye then developer. Mixing it sounds like a good idea though!

ah wonderful, good luck! The toner should help you out quite a bit!
yeah I usually just eyeball it (about 1:1 developer:toner) and then add in a little pour (more than the capful) of the violet 050... you should definitely be fine =)
