Honestly, if it were me, I would stay away from anything "romantic" to avoid adding to the cheesy effect. I would go for a nice, clean modern chignon, a dress with clean, straight lines and very little embellishment (no lace or ruffles), classic pearl drop earrings, a minimal nude smokey eye with maybe a hint of cool pastel color, bright pink blush and soft pink lips. In other words I would keep the whole look clean, cool, and early-spring themed.

I completely agree with Stephanie D. I've been to a courthouse wedding and it was over before I blinked an eye. It all moves so quickly because of course they have a ton of other people to marry. I'd keep it super simple but then go all out afterwards...I'm assuming that you might have a gathering of some sort after the ceremony....if so get glammed up. Congrats by the way. Marriage is an adventure. ;)
