A primer is an absolute must. It looks like you have very good complexion in your profile pic, so maybe I would just settle with a powder instead of foundation. Always wear a blush, I like deep throat by Nars. Mascara is a must, and for that I use Big Fatty By Urban Decay. Then depending on your style, either a gloss or a lipstick. Kat Von De has excellent gloss that stays on just like a lipstick. There shade of red is beautiful! If you like eye liner, LORAC has an excellent liquid liner that stays on all day/night! The naked eyeshadow pallet works excellent by urban decay, and would look PERFECT with your skin tone! But once again, don't forget primer on your eyes! :) hope this helped!

Bella, i would definitly start out with makeup from the drugstore. Try revlon colorstay foundation, use the elf flat top powder brush for 3 bucks, elf blush, revlon lipsticks, i like sassy muave, go with revlon photoready primer, maybelline powder compact

I like Too Faced Primed and Poreless. Essentially, you need a good foundation, powder, or Both (depending on coverage you prefer). I like to use a light foundation, I fancy Lancôme Teint Idole , and then I buff over that with MAC Skinfinish Natural. Grab what is best for your skin type. I use drugstore mascara and alternate between drugstore and "high-end" eyeshadows. My liner is cheap (.99 from the beauty supply...I feel they all pretty much produce the same result.) As far as brushes, I recommend a stippling brush, blending brush, Kabuki, and overall powder brush. I have several Sephora and MAC brushes, but find that my inexpensive Real Techniques brushes from Ulta outperform them! I do suggest a good shadow brush as well.

I love Laura mercier's tinted moisturizer. Protects the skin and provides the perfect daytime coverage. That some blush with a LITTLE shimmer some mascara n some lipgloss will do the trick ;)

I would never buy makeup from the drug store. Spend the little extra money and treat your skin.

I agree on Ashley on the Revlon Photoready primer. It makes your skin feel so smooth & helps your makeup last ages on your skin. It's a fantastic drugstore primer.
Have you checked out ELF's Studio brushes? They're all $3 each & they're truly great brushes! They're amazingly soft too. I suggest you check them out! You can buy them at Target or eyeslipsface.com

There's nothing wrong with buying from the drugstore especially when you're first beginning & even when you're more advanced. You'll need an eyeshadow base, try ELF's $1 that can be found at Target as well as a face primer. I love Revlon's ColorStay foundation. I've never gone wrong with Maybelline's or L'Oreal's mascaras. Wet n Wild's eyeshadows are the best, very pigmented & cheap. For lipsticks I absolutely love Wet n Wild's MegaLast, Revlon & Rimmel lipsticks. ELF also makes brushes. I love the $3 FlatTop Powder Brush for foundation. Coastal Scents makes a 22 piece brush set that I brought when I first started out & still use to this day.
