I would really appreciate some help. I'm not happy with the copper tones through the in-between sections of my hair (shown in the attached picture) I would like to change the colour to between a light brown and a dark blonde colour (bronde). I think this would look better with my blonde highlights.

If you have any ideas and thoughts on how to achieve the bronde colour please share them. Also do you think this idea would work?

• foil up my already existing highlights with conditioner to keep them sections out the way
• bleach the rest of the hair mixing with 40vol peroxide to lift to a yellow blonde.
• mix light ash blonde and a number 6 with peroxide or developer (not sure which one) Obviously I don't want it going green or orange.
• leave it on for 10mins.

Thank you
xoxo

Well...you have a problem. It looks to me like your hair is like a level 7 or or so...even if you managed to tone the copper out, it would still be very dark in contrast to your highlights. On the other hand, fooling about with trying to foil up your highlights also seems like a bad and messy idea. You'd have to first find all your highlights, then somehow manage to bleach and tone the rest of your hair around the foils without bleeding or disrupting them...way too much room for serious error there.

If I were you, I'd soap-cap the whole thing with 20 vol. and then tone it.

It'll lift some of the color out and sort of equalize the levels, but it shouldn't go up so far that your highlights disappear. It'll most likely go to a reddish color, but you can tone over that with an ash and I don't think that would disrupt your highlights either.

Then again, I can't see the condition of your hair and camera lighting can be unreliable. Be advised.
