I love lip color but I hate how shiny or wet looking lipsticks (for the most part) look on me. Any good matte lipstick or even lip stain suggestions for a tight budget? Also, specific shades? Red, coral, and soft pink colors are best ^-^

Wet N' Wild has a line that has matte lipsticks with the shades you're looking for.
I think it's Megalast.
I have one in Stoplight Red and it's really good. I love them. :)
They're about 2 bucks.

Rimmel's Kate Moss line has some fantastic looking matte shades. I haven't tried any of them yet, but from swatches they look great. They come in a red tube. If you have a lipstick that you already own but would prefer to be matte, you can always mattify it. Just apply your lipstick like normal and blot with a tissue. Then (while the tissue is still on your lip) you can lightly dust some loose translucent powder on top. That'll make your lippie matte and help it last longer too.

Flower by Drew Barrymore. They're $6-7 which may or may not be more expensive than regular drugstore brands (I don't buy lipstick at drugstores very often) but they're very nicely pigmented and go on smooth. The matte ones are called velvet formula. I have the shade "Flamingo Flower" and I love it. I'm thinking about getting the red shade the next time I'm at Walmart. (That's the only place that carries the line btw)

NYX matte lipsticks!

Wet N Wild Mega Last are the best! They have just enough moisture for your lips when applying it. When I apply other mattes for some reason they bring out the cracks in my lips (I always scrub my lips before applying a matte).

Reckon also has some good matte shades, although color range is limited. Wet n' wild or NYX matte lipsticks are the way to go :)

I second both the flower and Rimmel Kate Moss suggestions. I have a few of both and love them! I will say, the swatches and color on the tube for flower is a bit misleading. For example Dahlia Dahling looks like a muted pinkish red, but is actually a bright blue based red. Beautiful, but unexpected.

Wet N Wild mattes are really cute.

Milani doesn't have a lot of true matte shades, but I've found that if blotted enough and set with a touch of powder they work beautifully as mattes. And the pigmentation is off the chain!

Apply translucent powder over any lipstick and it looks matte.
