Tell me a product you think gets way too much hype!

Naked palettes/naked this-or-that. I'm over it. I don't own any product with the word "naked" in the name and I wish brands would stop beating it to death.
And BB creams. They're tinted moisturizers, essentially. The ones I've tried were awful. I think its better to invest in a good moisturizer and a good foundation and use them together.

Maybelline Color Tattoos. They're good for two or so months, then they dry out. I have to dig my fingers into the pot and they don't work well as a base anymore.
And I love these, but with how much they get asked about on here, the Nakeds. I love them to death, but seriously I don't need 20292 naked posts.

Lush's bubblegum lip scrub, Nakeds...so many more!

I somewhat agree with both of Caitlin's points. The whole Naked thing has been done to death and I am so sick of hearing about neutrals at this point, especially from people asking which Naked palette they should get. (And for the record-- Naked 1 is supposed to be better for warm coloring and Naked 2 for cool. It doesn't matter which one you get. They're both neutral palettes. Get whichever one has the colors that appeal to you more. They're "worth it" if you think you'll wear the colors often. There.)
The BB Creams that are sold in drugstores are just tinted moisturizers with the buzzword of BB Cream slapped on the label. Not saying that they're necessarily bad products, as I use the L'Oreal one quite often, but I'm not a fan of the misuse of the term.
Every NARS shadow I've tried has creased horribly on me. I've heard that they're meant to be used in conjunction with the NARS shadow base, but I think a good shadow shouldn't have the caveat that it must be paired with a base from that brand. I also think that NARS Orgasm blush is not the miracle product everyone else thinks it is, because it's far too glittery for my taste. I also think that Lancôme mascaras are pretty crappy. The entire Hypnose line makes my lashes stick together and they're all hard to remove. And I also don't get how people are so into Revlon's Lip Butters. I bought 4 of them before I decided that I must be the crazy one for finding them to just be mediocre.
The funny thing is that I know at least one person who swears by each of the products I mentioned, which just goes to show you that one person's trash is another person's HG.

Naked is overrated... I love the pallettes 1and 2... but there's.not enough variation, I think that Too Faced has more diverse palettes and lorac pro palette is way better.than naked, I like all the new bare minerals pressed items but am so over anything loose by bare it made my skin itch. oh and those eos lip balm things. I think the clarisonic is the most overrated and quite honestly mediocre thing that has so much hype...and la mer la prairie... anything that puts amazing ingredients in a jar just so they go bad in a month. cellulite creams, stretch mark creams, oh and BB creams... I could go on and on.

Maybe line color tattoos, everyone talks about them basically being a primer when they make my shadow crease within an hour!

I also agree with the sock buns, and forgot to include Maybelline mascaras in my original reply. Most Maybelline products don't do it for me at all. I've found I only like their lip products, their eye products aren't good at all. Face products are terrible.
Maybelline Fit Me is one of the worst foundations on the market. I don't care if their powder is a miracle, it took me a week to use it up.

Bhcosmetics - They're mass produced kid makeup palettes made in China that you can get from eBay for way cheaper than you can get at both bhcosmetics and Coastal Scents. I hate the (lack of) pigmentation, the terrible texture, the fact that they fade so quickly even with both UDPP and TFSI. I just cannot stand them.
NAKED palettes - Now I have only the first time and I'm quite fond of my NAKED palette, but like Brooke said, I'm so tired of UD creating more and more NAKED things and not focusing on something else. The 209493849348 threads on beautylish do not help my irritation with NAKED as a whole.
MAC - I'm so pissed off with this company as a whole. I'm so tired of MAC pumping out four collections or more a season with mediocre quality and a price raise. There's nothing special about the formula. There's nothing special about the colours. The fact that they produce so little is also frustrating.

I really hate nail polish brands that don't work. To evaluate on that, I'm mainly talking about those base and top coats. Sally Hansen nail polish??SUCKS. I got a top coat that claims no cracking for x amount of days and it chipped the very next day! To put that in perspective my nail polish lasted longer without the crappy top coat. Also red lipstick is way overdone. Don't get me wrong, a red lipstick is any ladies best friend, but I've been seeing way too many red lips out there.

Bb creams I have found are mostly greasy cakey bullshit foundations that dont really do much. Also the lotion hope in a car by philospgy smells terrible and burns.

Revlon colorstay. I cannot see what in the world is so amazing about this stuff. I love the eleventhgorgeous girls and it's their HG and they always look so amazing in their videos but they recently did a first impression video on a lip product and when the camera was closer to their lips their skin looked dry and aged and like they had drag rot. I have never seen anyone who looked as good as they think they do in that foundation.
Nars orgasm. I have this one and I do like it but it's no miracle amazing thing. I honestly like the wet n wild pearlescent pink blush better.
Nars sheer glow foundation. I thought it was streaky and hard to blend and stuck to every dry patch on my face which made covering a healing blemish extremely difficult.
Eos lip balms. They are drying! WTF!

Oh my, yes, the EOS lip balms. They did absolutely nothing for me whatsoever!

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation & I agree with Marcy's points. It's a very unforgiving and unflattering foundation.

For me there are few products and brands that are way over-hyped/over-priced - Lancome, Benefit, Urban Decay, Nars, MAC, Clinique and Soap & Glory. Some of them I have used and got dissapointed with quality for the price, some of them I just had a look and didn't like anything worth the price.
