I'm mostly looking for the process of nail care and how to properly apply polish. I got a manicure done but aftera lengthy 2 hours, I'd like to try to achieve the same results at home.

Oh, well I'd love to help(: For nail care I found this tutorial type picture of a nail care routine at home by a popular blogger and find it very effective and helpful(: The things I reccomend investing in are acetone, hand cream, cuticle cream and a nail buffer.

Payton, thanks so much for your response. :) the polish picture was so helpful! In your opinion do you think a cuticle gel remover is necessary as well?

I never use one. I push mine back,then use burts bees cuticle cream. I let that soak in then use hard as hoof. I use this three times a day and it makes my nails really strong. I also use solar oil twice a day. I am a reformed nail biter so I have to keep them pretty or I will bite them again!keep practicing and you will find what works for you
