Nude shoes are SO snoozy. Since metallics are a neutral, I would do a pop of color for the shoe, red lips and super lush, fluttery lashes. For hair, I'd do really volumized, bombshell hair (maybe half up, but really whatever you're comfortable with)

I think you should stick to natural colors. Maybe silver shoes or white even then spice it up with your eyes maybe a gold smoky eye (:

I Love the dress. My sister wore one like this for her prom. She actually used a wine/plum purple, worked really nice, but red is nice too. I'm not digging the red shoe idea though. What are you doing for a coursage?

I don't think you should go with a colour that stands out as the gold already stands out really nicely, I would go for cream shoes with a nice cream bag the match and natural make up, nothing too in your face otherwise it may be too much with the red lips and shoes.
