Hi, so I wear very minimal face makeup on a day to day basis (concealer or maybe BB cream and powder) but when I put it on especially now when the air is dry it makes my skin look dry and cracked...when I am not wearing makeup it actually looks better than when I do. What products will help and what face products can cover it up without a weird texture left on my face on dryer spots?

I used to have that problem. I put a LOT of moisturizer at night and then in the morning and let it dry while I do my eyes. Then I use concealer and I bought a foundation for dry skin and use very LITTLE powder. Like almost non. And it fixed it :)

As Trish said, you should exfoliate and moisturize. Depending on your skin type, you should exfoliate once or twice a week. you should always clean your face and moisturize before makeup application. Of course, choose a moisturizer that fits your skin type. Let the moisturizer sit for at least 5-10 minutes before applying makeup to let your skin absorb the product. Not only that, make sure to use a foundation that is oil based so it doesn't make the skin look dry. Also, you may want to think twice before applying foundation powder because that can tend to make skin look drier. If you're looking a little oily, opt for a tissue or oil skin wipe.

Try out Nivea soft cream under your makeup, it's crazy moisturizing and inexpensive. You can buy a trial size of it at cvs.

Powder is the enemy for dry skin...if you can skip it great if you can't...use it sparingly
