I'm 16 in November, and really want to get my belly pierced. it was about 4 years ago i had 2nd holes pierced in my ears, and they felt like being pinged by an elastic band. what im trying to say is, what is the pain like, should i get it done, and what is the best way to ask my parents?

although its a sort of stupid quote i like to remind myself "no pain no gain". but i have a very high tolerance for pain so when im about to do something i never consider the pain.
as for your parents...
research about the piercing and summarise what you've learnt and show the summary to your parents. show them that you care and u know what you're gonna do. show them you'll be responsible about it and about the healing process.
hope this helps, goodluck x

I didn't ask my parents I got it on my 17th bday I just did it and showed them after. I dnt think that's the best way to go abt it though. As for pain it actually hurts less then a ear Bc the fat it's just quick and simple the only thing is it stings after for a while after that ur sore for a few days and its all good...

It hurts for maybe 30 seconds. Then it's really just painless while healing. At least it was for me.

everyone experience pain differently. I've had multiple body piercings and derails and handle the pain just fine. #1 tip and most piercers will say the same "RELAX & BREATHE" if you tense up it will be more painful
