It could just be the type of foundation you picked. I used MAC years ago and hated it, have been searching for a new foundation ever since until right before my wedding. I decided to try MAC again and this time I used the studio fix along with the setting spray and I am more than satisfied. The spray really does make a difference, took me a few years of experimenting to figure it out.

BUT! If you're on a budget, the revlon photo ready and cover girl clean makeup has worked very well for me. I just prefer the MAC for when I'm going out at night and don't want to worry about touch ups too much
