To counteract yellow tones in hair you need to use violet toner. You can mix one yourself with products from Sally's or you can use the temporary toning effects of violet shampoo. You have to be careful when using a toner because if the mix is too strong or if you leave on the shampoo too long it can turn your hair a light lavender. Hot water and a strong shampoo can fix that but it's better to go easy on it than have to do more correcting.
