What is the best method for covering cystic acne?

I guess a full coverage foundation. But that may make it worse. I had cystic acne and it hurt :/ I understand how it feels

Have one on my chin right now. From what I have watched just yesterday on beautylish (the Video about most common makeup mistakes) he said to use a concealer one shade darker on pimples and such in order to make them apear smaller instead of a shade lighter since that would just highlight the area. To get rid of them I would suggest placing a hot towel over your face for 5 minutes before washing your face to open up your pores..then add benzoyl peroxide on affected area until it dies!

Any full coverage concealer will cover the discoloration of cystic acne but unfortunately there's no way to hide the texture of cystic acne...I don't get them often maybe twice a year but I use persa gel 10 and it dries them up quickly...they reduce by half the size over night

Although many people use the term "cystic" to describe any type of severely inflamed acne, only those who develop cysts truly have cystic acne. Cysts are the most serious kind of acne blemish. They feel like soft, fluid-filled lumps under the skin's surface. Cysts can be painful and very rarely "come to a head"

The white material in a milium (single for milia) is made up of cells from the dead skin layer called the stratum corneum. Unlike cystic acne (also called an epidermal inclusion cyst), milia do not form from a pore; they are just a pocket of normal skin that somehow indented, sealed over and the dead cells got trapped.

Hope that was helpful...let me know if you need me to explain anything differently sugar

Technically yes millia could be considered a cyst...but not really

I have suffered from moderate cystic acne for the past 7 years and I have become a pro at how to hide these things. First make sure you have a clean face to work with, use a light moisturizer or a primer if you feel you will get oily, this helps calm down the skin and better set your make up. I use Bare Minerals and it's the best I have found yet that looks the most natural. I do a sweep of base with the full coverage brush, then use bisque concealer (slightly thicker pigment for darker markers) I suggest a slight shade darker than your foundation. Dab it on the area of the cyst and blend outward, do this until you have desired coverage. I'f it isn't fully covered or you still see some redness no need to fret because the compressed mineral veil takes care of that, blend over face to set your look and keep you fresh throughout the day. That's my best advice

Excellent advise. I have cystic acne too, and it absolutely sucks! Your not alone girlfriend...I know how you feel.
