My friend just gave me her new clip in extensions (human hair) as she now has hers glued in. However they are dark brown and i have dyed light blonde hair so i will have to bleach the extensions. Will this completely ruin the extensions or I can save them with hair treatments and plenty of conditioner?

try a colour b4 treatment on the extensions itll lift them to the natural lightest shade they could of possibly been. And then attempt from there.

Some extensions won't really lift... maybe a little bit. Depending on how/if they were colored previously. I have experimented with this before myself. Even with straight bleach, the color barely changed on these extensions I had - they were as stubborn as my natural hair! Hopefully you have better luck than I did!

My hairdresser told me that you can only go darker with extensions because depending on what the hair was previously put through some hair may become lighter than others and everything could be a different color
