I need help with credit?

I recently joined last night, and I noticed I got $10 credit. It takes ten dollars off anything I try to purchase. Being so, I was going to get a pressed eyeshadow, which brought the price down to $7. If i'm just using the credit, why do I still have to use a credit card? I'm really confused.

Um...because you still owe $7. Plus shipping. And tax, if applicable.

$10 credit = $10 rebate, but you still have to pay whatever remains of the price.
