Cut them off ( at the hairdressers) , maintain it by always conditioning after shampooing, hair mask about once a week and try not to use heating tools, but if you do, use a heating protector with keratin.

One of the main reasons why your hair will split is due to heat damage. the best thing to do is get a trim from continued splitting. After you cut your hair buy a good heat protection product i recommend to my hair clients one for dry hair and wet hair. The wet protector from the blow dryer and a dry protector for any hot tool use(straighteners, curling irons, three barrels) that usually helps ALOT.
