Should I get ombre hair?

I have very dark hair and I would love to try the ombre look.Maybe purple! They would have to bleach my hair right? will they be ruined a lot? would the hair chocks work on black hair? Of course I could get extensions but I wanted to try the real thing...any suggestions?

I think it would look pretty on you but yeah I think they will have to bleach it quite a bit with how dark your hair is and that will cause quite a bit of damage along with coloring it purple after, but I think that it would be VERY cute!:)

It depends on your hair! I've never dyed my hair before before doing Ombré(just highlights twice) and they were very skeptical of how the bleach would effect my hair. I was very lucky and they got it to the color I wanted! I say go for it! It will only fry your ends but if you get a good moisturizing shampoo/conditioner and a good deep moisturizing mask your hair should be fine! Just talk to your hair colorist! (:

Im a hair dresser and to be honest, if one more person comes in for an ombre im gonna scream. They are super in and trendy so if u want to, go for it. but maybe try something else. Hair chalk will work on dark hair as long as you use a white first, then go over it with the desired color.

I had mine ombré, it was nice but it got old after a while. But it's so easy to touch up! But I bleached my ends so as long as you keep your ends healthy it's not hard to maintain at all!
