I use MAC Lip Erase in Dim. Its a pro item so if you don't live close to a pro store you can order online (MAC website only). It mutes out my pigmented lips well so I can get a true to color lippie. I also did an experiment about a month or two ago where I used my corrector to cancel out my pigmentation and I also tried my concealer. I found between the three that MAC lip erase performed best but was tied with the corrector as far as showing true to shade color. Before application I just make sure my lips are well exfoliated so the flakies don't show up. Then I apply a light swipe of chapstick (wax based preferred) . I wait a few mintutes and then I apply the lip erase (or corrector) with a lip brush. It doesn't take a whole lot. Wait a few minutes for it to set before applying final product. You can apply the lipstick straight from the tube or with a lip brush. I find the lip brush to give greater precision. And viola....even lips. What royally bites about cancelling out your lip pigmentation is that once you start eating anything that comes in contact with your lips you will have to do the entire process all over again if you want to replace what was lost. Which is a pain in the rear if you're out and about. Other than that I have experienced great results with the MAC product and my corrector. :)
