It depends on your skin. I got my top bellybutton done 4 years ago. It didn't hurt at all and i actually fell asleep on my stomach that night and was fine it didn't even bother me. But last year i got my bottom bellybutton and the guy had a hard time with it. It hurt so bad because the skin was tight there. It never healed and i ended up taking it out

Yeah totally go for it! I got mine pierced about 6 months ago, I love it!

I had mine pierced, then it rejected, and i had it pierced again which us supposed to be 2x more painful. Neither time hurt.
