Well I did mine at the docs office with anesthesia so I can't tell you if it hurt but I definitely not regret it and it looks so cute. So go for it :)

I've had my belly piercing for about 6 months now. And I love it. I went to some hole in the wall place and it hurt like a bitch. It was awful. But I have my nose pierced and it didn't hurt at all. The only regret I have is the place I went. I recommend you look into the places in your area and go for the best. Not the cheapest! Seriously.

I think they are outdated. Like very 2006. Maybe if you do the bottom instead of the top. I got mine done 9 years ago. Took it out 4 years ago.

If something is holding you back then don't do it....

I've had mine for like a year and a half. The pain depends on the thickness/toughness of your skin. If it's soft, the needle will go right through with no problems. But I love mine.

If you feel held back don't do it. Only go for it if you want it 100%

I'm a trained piercer. Doctors are not piercers. They are not trained in the placement or technique. Go to a reputable piercer in your area.

If you have had thoughts about it just get it. Worst thing that can happen is you don't like it. Just take it out! It's not a permanent commitment.

As far as the pain, it's really over before you know it! Just make sure you take good care of it, the healing for this piercing is quite long (about 6 months)

Good luck!

I got mine done when I was 13 (I'm 24 now so 11 years) and then I got a lower navel piercing when I was 19. Still love them both! It's a stiff pinch, you'll feel it, but it's quick and there are really a lot worse things in the world :P
Go for it, don't think about it too much ;)
And yes, reputable piercer for sure. Ask around and do your research! Good luck.

I agree, don't over think this.I still have mine, have had it since i was 17(i'm 27 lol). Just make sure you clean it correctly, and don't change it too soon. I always had a friend(S) who would get this particular piercing done and then want to change it out to another piece of jewelry , and it would get infected, etc. Just really make sure you pick one out that you're gonna be okay with at least till its done healing. Just have fun :)

Go for it :) I am a beauty therapist but also I do piercings aswell and if someone is holding back I ask them why? Why are you holding back? Is it the pain? Is it the fear of needles? If none of this is you, go for it. But, if your afraid of pain belly button piercings don't hurt at all, I have had mine done for a few years and never been infected and the pain was nothing. It all depends on your mind set :)

I really like it, I was debating whether to get one or not, so I started off with a nose piercing which supposedly hurts more than your bellybutton. I think what's holding you back is the level of pain and the embarrassment when your hurting in front of the piercers. Just take a deep breath. If you really want it, you'll do it.

I had an really hard time with mine. Actually got it pierced 2ce. I agree they are outdated, but the infection you can get from it makes it so much more painful that the initial piercing. As you get older it will lose it's appeal. I had my tongue ad belly button pierced. I took both of them out when I "grew up"..... So when I was 23.... Don't do it. It is awful

I just got mine done this past week! I was really looking forward to getting it done, so I'm happy I did :) it does hurt, but it's not unbearable pain & it lasts for like a second! I think they're super cute & if you like em, go for it! You can always remove it

I got mine done about 8 years ago and actually just took it out a year or so ago because I feel like they are outdated. The pain was nothing more than a pinch, though. They just seems to 90's to me now, but when I was 16 I thought it was like the coolest thing ever.

when i made mine, i'm not gonna lie but it hurt when the piercer was doing it ( pain depends on hoe thick and hard your belly button is)
i had no problems with it and i love it :)

It depends on your tolerance for pain. i got mine done and it killed for a couple days. it took almost a year to fully heal, but if your up to getting your navel pierced, i think it looks cute and totally worth it, Try to wear loose fitting clothing and try not to bang into anything at belly height cause it can and will sting.

Ok ave M. I think it's funny that you say ours outdated from 2006. Girl it's been around way liner than that. I've had mine foot 20 years. It wasnt just invented. If you want it get it. It hurts to get it done but only for a second. It will be painful after that for about a month. But just remember the hole lasts forever.

It depends on your skin. I got my top bellybutton done 4 years ago. It didn't hurt at all and i actually fell asleep on my stomach that night and was fine it didn't even bother me. But last year i got my bottom bellybutton and the guy had a hard time with it. It hurt so bad because the skin was tight there. It never healed and i ended up taking it out
