It's a gel based nail polish that lasts longer than regular nail polish, basically makes your natural nails look like gel nails

Shellac is a secretion from an insect. Don't put it on your nails.

i really liked it when i had it done. i was bad and didn't have it removed properly and i damaged my nails peeling it off.

I got addicted and after a couple months it totally weakened my nails. Misleading too because they got really long after using it for a while but when I finally decided to take a break they were very thin and weak. Very long lasting but I wouldn't make it a habit...

Hilary C I hope you don't take coated medicine or eat any candy because its in those too. ;) if your gel manicure pulls up then it was done very poorly and you should go elsewhere. My nails are just as strong as they were before I started getting gel.

anyone see the dr.oz special this week on gel nails? not good. ive done it several times, all different salons and wasnt a fan. one aplication is proven to weaken your nails by 50%. plus its not cheap. maybe for a wedding or special event, but thats it. just not a fan!

shellac is the name of a resin that en ables the polish to cure under a uv lamp. it helps nails that are weak and flakey. it dries instantly and is chip resistant for up to two weeks. some people don't respond well to shellac normaly if they have oily nails. I am a dove spa beauty therapist and have been doing shellac nails for a while!

the best gel brand you can get it orly gel fx. it's infused with vitamins and is more flexible then cnd shellac.
