guys please advise me which is better and which is worse. I am a nail biter, and honestly i cant stop, sometimes i do have quite nice naiks, but it takes me one fight or one nice movie, the nails are gone.... so i decided to put artificial ones. so i ahve two questions which one is better, acrylic top or gel? and is it possible to get my nails grow under the artificial one?

I've never tried gel before but my nails have grown under acrylic. only problem is all the filing they do on them makes them grow thin. i heard once that there's a product u can buy to put on ur nails that every time u bite them u get an awful taste. maybe check ur local health store for recommendations.

Personally... I don't like gel at all, it tears my nails up. I do like acrylic, I even like the solar nails, but the problem with the solar kind is they're a pain to soak off.

I was told at my nail salon that gel nails are the best and don't harm your nails as much as acrylic - had my gels done in November 12, took them off that same month and my nails are still completely ruined now! I wouldn't get either done if I was you!

thanx girls, i am using now the awful taste product, havent been biting my nails at all for a 3 days... hope they will grow long and i ont need need any gel or acrylic

I don't like either the damaged my nails really bad. So now I do no chip manicures and I love it :-) they last for a long time and it's going to be hard for you to bite them off
